About Our Display Boards
Our black and white exhibit boards meet National History Day requirements. Our double-wall corrugated boards are 72 inches wide and 48 inches tall, there are two 23.5-inch-wide side panels and a 25-inch-wide center panel. We also offer an additional title panel that sits across the top of the exhibit board and is 40 inches wide and 10 inches tall. These display board dimensions are a significant reason our display boards stand apart from other ones you may find online or at the craft and office supply store.
Our boards were designed back in the mid-2000s by Minnesota’s History Day program coordinator (Tim Hoogland). Tim was active in the History Day program for many years until he retired a few years ago. We still use the design from Tim’s years working with the students and parents. While the National History Day program specifies you can use a larger board, Tim found that a small percentage of students make it to nationals and that transporting the largest acceptable-sized display board was a major hassle for students and parents during the local, regional, and state competitions. In addition, getting one of the larger boards on a plane ride to Washington, D.C., for the national competition was extremely expensive. Over the years, we have had parents calling looking for options to get their children’s oversized display board out to Washington, D.C. Our boards, while not meeting the maximum allowable size, have been used at local, regional, and national competitions with no issues. It is our understanding that the NHD organization regulations limit the maximum size of the exhibit board; anything smaller is fine.
We know students and parents will love the size and convenience of our display boards. You will not be disappointed. Please feel free to contact us if you have any other questions. Thank you.
